Cotton Face Mask

from $13.00

I’m really excited because I designed some science-y fabric to makes some masks! All masks are pleated, made from 100% cotton, and are sewn such that they have a pocket for an additional filter in addition to what ends up being three layers of fabric. They also have a place to insert a piece of wire that goes across the bridge of the nose to help it fit better (which can help folks with glasses like myself prevent their specs from fogging up). Each mask also comes with elastic bands (which are tied instead of sewn in case you need to adjust them or if you want to add your own band) that go around the ears and is machine-washed to test its integrity. To use the mask safely, put it on and take it off by the elastic bands only, and don’t touch the front of the mask to minimize the spread of germs. Wash and replace the filter after every use.

Fabric options include Mars Curiosity Rover print featuring a trace of my Mars Rover sticker and a sketch of the track marks crisscrossing the pattern, retro glassware that I doodled and to which I added bright and colorful solutions, and chemical constellations featuring some sketched nebulae with some interstellar molecules that look like constellations of stars (representing atoms) in the foreground. Masks may be made to order while I build up stock, so please allow some extra time!

Free shipping to the U.S. If you need a mask but mine are cost-prohibitive, please contact me privately and we can arrange for you to just pay for shipping if you can or nothing at all. Stay safe!
